General
Conditions
1. Annual tune-up will be performed once
during the Service Agreement term during regular working hours as scheduled
by our service department, between the months of March and August. The annual
tune-up includes:
| -Test & adjust oil burner for maximum
efficiency. |
-Clean & check electrodes and nozzle
assembly. |
| -Install new air filters, oil filter,
cartridge and burner nozzle if necessary. |
-Safety check all operating
controls. |
| -Oil all motors on burner, fans and
circulators |
-Inspect combustion
chamber. |
| -Check oil tank. Clean furnace and flue
pipe including chimney base (where accessible) as necessary |

2. Labor is covered only for the repair
and replacement of listed parts.
3. Exclusions: This agreement does not cover parts or labor when failure
is due to:
-Lack of oil when delivery has been
delayed do to delinquency in payments, bad driveways, or when customer is
not on automatic delivery.
-Parts expressly excluded from this agreement
include: parts or controls on coal, wood or gas burning units.
-Failure of customer to maintain proper boiler water level or pressure
(except with comprehensive Plan).
-Air in baseboard radiation or radiators (except with Comprehensive Plan).
-Piping not related to the heating system.
-Customer setting thermostat too low to call for heat.
-Customer leaving emergency switch
in "off" position.
4. This agreement does not cover repair or replacement of obsolete parts
such as certain zone valves, circulators and combustion chambers which are
not available through regular sources of supply.
5. If all fuel oil requirements are
not purchased from HL Fuel Co., Inc., then this agreement is
void.
6. This agreement does not cover acts
of God, fire damage, electrical power fluctuation, flooding or other
water damage, etc. except that which is caused by normal wear and
tear.
7. There shall be no liability for any
reason on the part of HL Fuel Co., Inc. for work done by anyone else,
unless such person is authorized in writing by HL Fuel Co., Inc. to
perform such work or furnish parts.
8. The length of this agreement is one
year. It will automatically renew at the time unless we are notified
of cancellation in writing 30 days prior.
9. A 100% pollution exclusion applies to
this contract.
10. No commercial systems will be covered
by this contract.
Service Hours
During the life of this agreement HL Fuel
Co., Inc. will provide dependable, prompt emergency service 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, 365 days a year.
